Barras lays foundations

Continuing his build up for the final races of the season Plowman Craven's Tom Barras competed in the 65 mile Curtain Express Road Race near Garstang Lancashire.
After riding the 40 miles to the race, Barras was active throughout being involved in several promising moves. As the race entered the finale 2 riders escaped the field and despite his efforts Barras could not join them and had to settle for a fine 3rd place after winning the bunch sprint.
Barras was pleased with his work out and before setting off on the 40 miles ride home "I've been training really hard over the previous weeks and today was an extension of this; I felt strong during the race and was pleased with how my sprint was after my exertions."
