Impsport Replica Kit Winner Announced

23rd May 2007

The first Impsport replica team kit prize draw was made at the Lincoln GP on Sunday 13 May. Race organiser, and former BCF president, Ian Emmerson made the draw at the Impsport trailer next to the finishing line, where earlier in the day Plowman Craven Evans Cycles rider Gordon McCauley narrowly lost out in a sprint finish to Dean Downing of Rapha Condor. Graham Palser had more luck than Gordon on the day, winning a full set of replica kit made from the latest high tech materials and to the high professional standards of Impsport, clothing suppliers to the GB cycling squads as well as to Plowman Craven Evans Cycles.

Making the draw at the Lincoln GP was an appropriate choice, since Impsport are based in the historic town. On the Friday before the race the Plowman Craven Evans Cycles team had visited the Impsport factory for a guided tour of the production line to see how their team issue clothing is designed, printed and sewn together. The team are seen here posing for a photo outside the Impsport factory.

The next day the team returned the favour as they took Impsport MD Dan Ellmore out for a pre-race training ride to see how a 'day at the office' is for the team his company sponsors. After a 2 hour 'spin' around the course the riders relaxed back at the hotel to get themselves ready for the next day’s race, while Ellmore went to prepare for his role as  a race marshal and set up the finishing line area for the race, which gave his legs a chance to recover from Saturday's ride.

The next draw will be made at the start of June, but for anyone who can’t wait that long or who doesn’t want to risk not winning, kit can be ordered using the link on this web site.
